The Ave
Maria Home was opened in 1956 by a group of women, the Ave Maria Guild, who had
a vision of creating a place where men and women of all faiths could age and die
gracefully. The Home was started as a retirement facility and through the years
has been transformed into a long-term care facility meeting the needs of today’s
seniors. For almost 50 years, Ave Maria has been building on the premise that
care of the frail and elderly is a community’s most important treasure. The Ave
Maria Guild for many years was the “guiding light” of care and compassion by
raising funds, volunteering and working at the Home. The Guild has contributed
many countless hours and funds for the residents.
Ave Maria complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
