What is the Adult Day Care Center?

The Adult Day Care Center at Ave Maria is a unique adult day care program focusing on stimulating socialization skills, providing personal care and strengthening and improving physical and cognitive abilities.  We offer a wide range of activities, both for the individual and the group setting.

Respect and admiration for our clients is prevalent through the program.  The center has been created to provide quality care in a protected environment that advocates support of the individual and the family.

We provide services for adults who are: 

 • Alone or isolated – in need of socialization

• In need of supervision

• In need of activities and care after a recent medical event

• Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia related illness

• In need of assistance due to physical impairment

HOURS

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

PROGRAMS AND FEES

*Half-day programs – up to 4 hours

*Full-day programs – up to 10 hours

*Two to five days a week, your choice of days.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

 TRANSPORTATION

*Ave Maria Bus 7:30 – 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. are the scheduled times.

$5.00/trip, one way, within a 20-mile radius

 ELIGIBILITY

*18 years of age or older

*Must be evaluated prior to entering our comprehensive program.

•Regularly scheduled religious services for all faiths

•Social activities and field trips into the community

ACTIVITIES

•Daily Exercises

•Physical active games

•Task oriented activities to stimulate cognition

•Small groups to increase peer interaction

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

•Beauty/barber shop services available

•Access to physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and audiology

•Podiatry services available upon request

Funding is available for the Adult Day Center
through a grant from the Assisi Foundation.
